Rave Reviews from our volunteers

VCV thrives thanks to passionate volunteers like you! But what’s it really like? Let’s explore some rave reviews and see why VCV could be your next adventure!

Not only I got to explore Hanoi, but I was able with VCV to fully immerse into the Vietnamese culture with the students. I learned so much about this beautiful country, never met people as amazing as Vietnamese. The food was delicious and all the VCV members were some of the kindest and nicest human beings ever. Highly recommended experience!!

I was with vcv for just under 3 moths and really really enjoyed my time. Ms Hay was the most welcoming person, who cares with all her heart about the volunteers and students. I had never taught English before, but I felt very supported by Ms Hay, the other students and other volunteers. I fully recommend volunteering with VCV and I would definitely go back in the future.

SOOOO Excited – I am really enjoying my time here in Hanoi, at VCV. I have been welcomed, made some new friends, been immersed in a beautiful, ancient culture and am feeling the love of students that are happy to be learning something that I have been blessed to know all my life – English!! Please consider coming to join us, your life will be richer because you did! :O)

I would highly recommend this for everyone who is interested in doing volunteering as an english teacher. It was my first time teaching and I was a little nervous when I had my first class, but everyone was super friendly and helpful which made it so much easier to get into the flow. I made so many great memories at VCV and made so many new friends during my 3 months stay there. Thanks again to Ms Hay for the organization and also a big thanks to all the other people at VCV for this incredible volunteer experience!

My experience at VCV was amazing. It definitely made me grow as a person. I gained more confidence at the same time as learning about a whole new culture which is awesome. The activities we did with the students were wonderful, it gave us the opportunity to learn more about their life styles and also to make them understand our lifestyle. As well as learning the vietnamese culture, we had the chance to learn about the other volunteers cultures. We all felt at home during our stay. I definitely recommend the volunteer experience.

I felt bad when I was leaving. Vietnam gave me so much that it was not feeling right to go back to Europe. It was one of the best experiences of my entire life and I would do it again 100%. To be fully honest, it is not something that anyone could do. You should be able to adapt to different contexts, be ready to work, be versatile, be always available to spend time with others, and be aware of the culture you will be dealing with. VCV staff is great. Mrs. Haylee, our “boss” is kind and always ready to help, and the other Vietnamese people leaving with us are just amazing. Phượng is for sure the best cook currently residing in Vietnam, I am already missing her food! 🙁 I will be back!
